WHO'S IN THE KITCHEN 

Blue Apron is hiring an Operations Analyst to join our Operations Team in XXXX, This person will be responsible for partnering with the team to lead Operations data analysis while continuously improving and optimizing the operation. The Operations Analyst will work directly with key stakeholders across operations leaders. They will own the execution of the underlying tools/models and analysis that help us expand operations and manage demand to ensure the best possible customer experience at the lowest cost. 

 

WHAT'S ON THE MENU 

 

  • Collect data and use statistical methods to analyze information and develop and implement solutions to business problems from prior experience and various computer sources

  • Lead development of KPIs to help drive performance improvement based on knowledge of key drivers and experience with process

  • Partner with Industrial Engineering for updating KPI and machine/labor standards 

  • Create mitigation strategies by understanding upstream and downstream impacts of decisions 

  • Identify opportunities and drive cost saving improvements 

  • Develop material flows and value stream process mapping 

  • Conduct onboarding and training of new analysts 

  • Present data and recommendations to management on findings and the various courses they can take to address manufacturing variance 

 

NECESSARY INGREDIENTS 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 - 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing or a fulfillment center operations environment

  • Process oriented and system focused 

  • Must be shop floor oriented and work between freezers/ambient food storage/packing with or without accommodation 

  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours (including nights, evenings and weekends)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excel experience as well as general analytical skills - knowing how to manipulate data and create insights from data

  • Strong organizational and customer service skills

  • Must be able to multitask to meet multiple demands and instructions in a fast-paced environment
