WHO'S IN THE KITCHEN:

Blue Apron’s concierge team drives loyalty and strengthens new and existing relationships with our customers through exceptional experiences and valuable insights, powered by happy people, collaborative processes and innovative technology. This role takes ownership of providing the best experience for every customer they interact with on a daily basis.

 

WHAT’S ON THE MENU:

  • Answer sales calls and reply to email inquiries in a fast-paced environment, helping 100-150 customers during shift.

  • Make outbound calls to identify customer needs and respond by providing exceptional service and resolution.

  • Think on your feet to devise creative solutions to problems that arise or escalate as appropriate.

  • Assist customers in managing their Blue Apron accounts.

  • Be a brand ambassador and expert on our product, including our ever-changing menus and market items.

  • Offer alternative solutions where appropriate with the objective of retaining a loyal customer.

  • Supervises: No direct reports

 

NECESSARY INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 years of College Education required (or equivalent experience)

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service related position is preferred (restaurants, retail, sales, etc.).

  • Strong soft sales foundation (subtle, casual, and friendly sales tactics) which supports the company’s core acquisition and retention efforts.  

  • Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written (phone, email, chat); Bilingual a plus

  • Strong ability to listen, identify problems, and find resolution

  • Must be poised and professional  

  • Must be accountable for daily, weekly, monthly goals

  • Show flexibility and ability to adapt to change

  • Well organized and resourceful

  • Ability to use critical thinking skills

  • Must have integrity and do the right thing at all times

  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-growing start-up environment
