The Learning Coordinator works with the Assistant General Managers, Production Managers, Production Supervisors, Operation Leaders and Production associates to coordinate all training related activities for the site. The individual in this position will provide program facilitation and administrative management. This role will report directly to the Training Manager who is responsible for providing high level coordination and facilitation.



  • Coordinate trainer identification and track new hire onboarding/training

  • Coordinate Learn Before Doing and On the Job Training plans for operations

  • Track learning curve at the site level

  • Audit Powered Industrial Equipment Training program and trainer standard work

  • Execute training programs for New Hires, Machine Operators, Trainers, Associates, Runners, Powered Industrial Equipment Drivers etc...

  • Coordinate and facilitate any training related programs

  • Develop and track effectiveness of training programs, including orientation. Monitor adherence to the established training programs to ensure standard work in the training programs

  • Actively seek ongoing skill development (i.e., participating and conducting skill classes, cross-training, etc.)

  • Document feedback results to help the Training Department identify strengths as well as area of improvement

  • Assess development needs for individuals and groups

  • Fully understand workflow and daily production goals

  • Ability to solve problems: react quickly and productively, serving as a resource for specific problems and undertaking the appropriate steps to resolve

  • Balance and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Maintain a positive attitude and presence on the floor

  • Supports Area Readiness/Standard work programs for the site

  • Facilitates and presents to groups of up to 50 people in a class, including participants at the managerial level.



  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ year of experience in related field or 2 + years experience with Blue Apron across different levels of the operation

  • Proficiency in computer usage, email, MS Office Suite


Preferred Qualifications

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience 

  • Experience delivering training/information to peers, hourly associates, and senior management, both individually and in groups

  • Experience delivering messages related to performance

  • Ability to give and receive feedback effectively

  • Evidence of ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects with tight deadlines

  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy

  • Desire to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment

  • Previous Kaizen/Continuous Improvement experience

  • Willingness to work different shifts and travel within a localized region to support other sites

  • Facilitation skills – teaching, presenting, training

  • Understanding of Delivery Station processes and flow


  • Must be able and willing to work in a team environment and be the primary point of contact for kitchen leadership regarding all assigned machinery and team members

  • 2-4 year’s experience operating industrial packaging machinery; food manufacturing experience a plus

  • Experience on all Blue Apron Machinery which includes the Auto Bagger, Tray Sealer, Flow Wrapper, Cup Filler, Bottling Line, Scale Line, Auger, and Sachet is appreciated.

  • Must have mechanical aptitude and intermediate troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to uphold safety, food safety, and production quality and freshness standards

  • Must be able to maintain production pace of equipment

  • Possess the ability to write routine reports

  • Be capable of meeting all required testing frequencies (detailed, fast-paced work)

  • Be capable of operating measuring instruments, such as the weight scale and thermometer

  • Be capable of performing basic math calculations and use a calculator

  • Bagger / Automation operation experience

  • Food industry experience

  • Self-motivated individual who requires minimal supervision and direction

  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must be eligible to work in the US

  • Must satisfactorily complete a background check and drug screen upon offer

  • Must be able to work weekends, overtime and holidays as required

Essential Job Functions:

• 1-2 years of entry-level managerial leadership experience in a food production or warehouse environment.
• Clear and concise communicator, verbal and written.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Flexible availability; we work night and weekend shifts.
• Familiar with standard work and SOP creation.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.
