WHO’S IN THE KITCHEN

We’re looking for a talented Inventory Control Manager to lead and grow the inventory control organization in our Arlington Texas Fulfillment Center. Under the direction of the Assistant General Manager, the Inventory Control Manager will lead and coordinate teams to ensure that we have an accurate account of inventory at all times. This means coordinating and communicating across the entire supply chain, designing and launching processes to ensure the integrity of our inventory and managing the team to performance targets.

Our fast-paced environment demands passion, a high attention to detail, the ability to perform with a sense of urgency, and keen problem solving skills.

 

WHAT’S ON THE MENU

  • Lead the Arlington Facility inventory team. Manage and grow a dedicated, 24-hour team of performers and managers
  • Build and develop your team. Hold regular 1:1s with Supervisors to ensure their development and own the onboarding and training of all new Specialist and Supervisors.
  • Manage the health of the warehouse management system by auditing usage and designing and implementing SOPs to address gaps
  • Establish performance goals and use data to drive your team to exceed targets
  • Collaborate with Receiving, Quality, Purchasing, Production and other departments to meet their inventory requirements
  • Inspire passion and commitment. Ensure that Blue Apron is every team member's favorite place to work!
  • Own safety of the team and of the food to ensure a safe working environment 100% of the time. Ensure the facility and associates comply with all state, federal and local regulatory agencies.

NECESSARY INGREDIENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, particularly in a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate strategically with a high-level thinking yet is well versed in the daily operation of a fulfillment center.
  • Experiencing managing KPIs and using data to identify and address deficiencies.
  • Experience setting up new programs/systems as well as managing in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large team of both performers and managers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships while still holding peers and associates accountable to expectations and processes.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance and Operations functions.
  • Clear and concise communication – both verbally and in writing.
  • A strong bias for action and sense of urgency to operate in a detail-oriented fulfillment environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills a must.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a team of associates and managers.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience leading an inventory control department in food operations or manufacturing.
  • Desired Qualifications
  • Receiving or inventory control experience related to produce or specialty food.
  • Food safety certifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 49 pounds repetitively with or without accommodation
  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time with or without accommodation
  • Exposure to temperatures that range from freezing to sub-freezing (coolers, freezers, etc.) with or without accommodation
  • Must be able to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach about and below shoulders; repetitive use of hands with or without accommodation
